What decides the price of your water purifier
Pump pressure
The booster pump is the part that fails and the part that carries the value. A purifier that fills its tank at normal speed has a working pump.
Membrane life
A choked RO membrane is a routine replacement, so it is deducted rather than disqualifying.
Leaking housings and connectors
Cracked filter housings and perished quick-connects are the usual reason a used purifier is priced as spares.
TDS and usage history
A purifier run on high-TDS borewell water for five years is worn differently from one on municipal supply, and inspection shows it.
Frequently asked questions
Can I sell a purifier with old filters?
Yes. Filters are replaced before resale, so the condition of the membrane and candles does not decide the price. The pump, the SMPS and the housing do.
Do you remove the purifier from the wall?
The pickup team detaches the mounting board, the inlet valve and the drain line. Leave the space under the sink clear.
Is a leaking RO unit still saleable?
Yes, if the leak is a housing or connector. A unit whose internal wiring has been soaked is a parts machine and is priced as one.
What about the storage tank?
Include it. A 6 to 8 L pressure tank is a separate component with its own value, and a purifier without one is quoted lower.
